NewRata2ee Cooking CampsEnrichmentRata2ee is a Best of Detroit (Hour Detroit) 2025 Finalist for Best Summer Camps! Rata2ee offers hands-on instruction in cooking techniques, including: knife basics; cooking fundamentals, food science & nutrition, kitchen safety, proper food handling, gardening 101 (very basics of gardening), and kids' yoga. This week-long camp teaches kids entering 2nd through 5th grades a very holistic approach to healthy living. Children will eat 3 meals (making their own breakfast, a 3-course lunch, and dessert), so no packing snacks or lunches or parents! NewSafety TownEnrichmentSafety Town is designed to introduce all types of safety conditions to children. Participants will learn about Stranger Danger, Fire Safety, Traffic Safety, Animal Safety and what to do in an emergency situation. Activities include songs, art projects, stories, short informative movies, a ride on the district bus and a short lunch break. We also have “mini traffic lanes” that aid in the traffic safety lesson. Children will be split up into small groups and assigned a High School student camp counselor for the week. Each day children will engage in large and small group activities. Groups and activities will be broken down according to Safety Town Instructor… please do not put in requests. Volunteer visits will be made from professionals in Emergency fields. Each child will receive a t-shirt at the beginning of the week. On the last day of the session, parents and families are welcome to join us for a graduation program that will be held at 1:15 pm. Picking your child up late will result in a late charge. Children need to bring a bike helmet, peanut-free snack, peanut-free lunch and two beverages each day.Spring/Summer 2026 -

Mini-Hawk programs are designed specifically for young athletes and focus on building balance, coordination, and confidence while introducing basic athletic movements and skills. Throughout the camp, participants will be introduced to three different sports, with each day focusing on a specific skill within the sport through fun drills and games. Along the way, campers will also learn important life skills such as respect, teamwork, inclusion, and leadership, with sportsmanship highlighted on the final day. Across the week, athletes will practice four key skills within each sport, helping them build a strong foundation while having fun and staying active. The final day of camp brings everything together with a tournament-style day, where campers play games and revisit their favorite drills to showcase how much they have grown.
