In this fun and engaging class, young artists will learn to draw popular anime characters while building essential anime art skills! From expressive eyes to creative character design, students will practice techniques that bring characters to life and inspire their own anime-style creations.

Creating with clay and painting on canvas - it just doesn't get any better than that! In this class your child will get to experiment with many different types of art while learning simple step-by-step painting and clay techniques. They will make 3D bears, owls, that glow-in-the-dark, a scratchboard painting of a cat and so much more! What a great way for your child to explore the incredible world of art!

A STEAM class where kids ages 5-12 mix, fizz and experiment their way through a series of festive, glitter-filled holiday creations - equal parts science lab and holiday magic. This isn't a craft class. Its bubbling reactions, sparkling surprises, and the kind of hands-on experiments that make kids feel like they actually discovered something. High-energy, gloriously messy, and designed to wow from the first fizz to the last sparkle.

Get ready to duck, dive and dominate in this high-energy class. We will work on strategy, problem-solving, and teamwork as we play a variety of different dodgeball variations. From elimination, scatter, catch and release, doctor-doctor, and even a real tournament-like experience! This class is for Novi Meadows students of any ability. The instructor is Mr. Felcher who has 25 years of Physical Education experience. Dodgeballs used are low-density foam balls with polyurethane coating.

This developmental drama class will include a wide range of creative activities that promote leadership, communication skills, public speaking & self-confidence. Build a foundation of drama skills such as projection, articulation, dramatic movement, & improvisation. Make magic happen during group scenes then take the spotlight in an imaginative solo scene! Give your child the gift of drama this fall. Each class is 60 minutes with 5 min intro game, 5 min speech warm up, 5-10 min movement without speaking, 40 min main lesson and 5 min exit game. We will conclude the 9 weeks with a showcase for the parents to watch.

Join Hoop Stars with Cary Grimm! Participants of all ability levels will engage in fun, instructional and challenging basketball games and contests. Players will participate in ball handling, shooting and passing activities that grow their enjoyment of basketball. Boys & girls - 5th & 6th Grade.

Dive into the wonderfully gross world of science! Kids will explore snot slime, candy bacteria, and even create an edible eyeball. Through hands-on experiments, they'll uncover the fascinating (and yucky!) science behind the gross things that make our world so amazing!

This is a very high energy class which is designed for children to learn respect, discipline, confidence, flexibility, balance, coordination, health, fun and fitness. Students will be introduced to basic blocking, punching and kicking techniques. Please send your child in loose fitting clothing to help ensure they excel in the environment. Get ready for a hands-on chemistry adventure! Young scientists will mix up gooey slime, create exciting chemical reactions, and learn to use real tools of the trade just like professional chemists. Along the way, they'll uncover fascinating concepts such as polymers and catalysts while conducting experiments in their very own chemistry lab. Best of all, each class ends with a fun educational take home, extending the discovery long after the experiment is over!

Kids will unbox the surprising world of science as they explore a new STEM topic in each class! Math Boot Camp is a perfect mix of both a mental and physical workout. Students will work on developing their math skills through strategy games and challenging puzzles and then work to improve their running fitness by tracking their running or walking progress each week. Good for all levels of math and running ability.

In this high energy class, students will be introduced to basic punching, blocking and kicking techniques. They will learn offensive as well as defensive movements along with some blocking and kicking combinations. Through training students will gain confidence, coordination, balance and flexibility. World Cup Soccer Challenge Camp is geared toward 5th & 6th graders of all abilities with a priority placed on the advancement of individual technical skill and competition in small-sided games. Players will get the opportunity to work with former D1 soccer players from the local area, compete with their peers and win prizes!
